Locally Employed Doctors

Hello!

I’ve been seeing some job vacancies on nhsjobs as Locally Employed FY2/ST1 vacancies and for the life of me, I don’t know what they mean. I’ve tried to google the meaning, but I don’t understand the explanations. How is it different from Trust SHO and the likes?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

 This is one of the biggest problem with UK system. Acronyms and terminology!

So, yes, locally employed doctors (LED) is new politically correct collective term to denote all the trust grade doctors.

Doctors can be deanery employed, who are trainees, and locally employed, who are non trainees.
