Hey @Ashik!

Have you done any training in the UK?
Sports medicine is a ST3 post, not a ST1 one, that means you must have some previous IMT, emergency medicine or GP training to be eligible to apply. If you choose the emergency medicine pathway, you must have:

  1. Been awarded MRCEM or completed FRCEM Intermediate certificate
  2. Evidence of achievement of ST/CT1, ST/CT2 and ST/CT3 Emergency Medicine competences at
    core trainee level

Do let me know if you have more questions

Best wishes!

Thanks for the reply Gabriela.

As i have been pursuing MRCEM already, i will prefer emergency medicine pathway. So i have to complete ST1 & ST2. Then when i am at ST3 level, i can continue or start my training at sports medicine. Right?

Exactly Ashik,

After those two years you can apply for sports medicine

Best of luck!
