Would completing FY2 standalone in the UK increase my chances of matching for specialty training, or would it be better to apply for specialty training after finishing my senior house officer year in my own country?
I’m concerned about being stuck in FY2/FY3/FY4 positions in the UK indefinitely instead of progressing to specialty training. This makes me hesitant to apply for FY2 standalone training. What do you guys think?
