IMT training in Uk

Hi.
after completing 3 years of internal medicine training,
can you work as a doctor in UK without going through the speciality training ?
And do you receive any certificate of IMT training at the end of these 3 years ?

If you wish from the very beginning of your UK career, you can choose to just do service job all your career. So, yes, even after IMT you can work as a registrar as long as you can find a job.

You do not receive any certificate per se, but you will have a training number against which all your training activities (your assessments and progression) will stay as record and act as proof of your competencies.

you would typically be required to complete further specialized training in a specific subspecialty within internal medicine, such as cardiology, gastroenterology, or neurology, before practicing as a specialist consultant physician. This additional training typically takes an additional three to five years, and you would receive a certificate of completion for each year of training.

It is important to note that medical training and certification requirements vary by country and can change over time, so it’s best to consult the relevant medical regulatory bodies for the most up-to-date information. In the UK, you may want to consult the General Medical Council (GMC) for more information on the specific requirements for practicing medicine in the country.
