I wanted to ask if doing online certificate courses offered by Duke, Yale and Johns Hopkins are acceptable and provide any advantages on the CV for training and non-training jobs?

You can include them in you CV but any advantage they provide would really depend on how relevant they are for the job you are applying and the credits these online courses offer.

As answered by @danym, these certificates will be valuable depending on their relevancy. Besides, for formal training applications, a lot of the times it depends on the panel if they accept the courses you have scored yourself with.
