Hello! I was wondering if you have any advice for an IMG who just moved to the UK. I have completed 2 years house job (equivalent of foundation training) in my home country and I’m booked to take Plab 1 in November this year. I’m hoping for suggestions regarding what jobs or programmes I could do here in the meantime to keep abreast with medicine and healthcare, given that I would have a significant gap in medical practice that could adversely affect my gmc registration. Unfortunately, on a UK visitor visa you would not be eligible for any jobs at all. If you are reluctant to have any clinical gaps, you could take up an attachment which adds some value to your CV.
